So far so good! My daughter just arrived there for fall term. It's a new world, and they are extremely strict about guests there now. I completely understand and appreciate that! Nice urban campus, just wish there were more of necessities nearby for someone there without a car.

Very nice campus and well-kept buildings and grounds. I was impressed by how well organized the move-in day was and just how smoothly we were able to take care of business. I'm looking forward to more visits in the future.

I really love VCU! My daughter is a freshman and I love how they're handling on campus residents during this pandemic. The university has totally gotten it right and is leading by example! Great job!!

I really enjoy using this facility. Of course, prepandemic it was way cooler, but they've adjusted accordingly and it's still a wonderful gym to be a part of. It's clean and there is sanitizer everywhere. Staff is always friendly. My son loves swimming lessons there and the outdoor pool is his favorite! Parts of the building could use a makeover, but overall-- I am pleased! Great trainers, coaches, classes, and equipment options!

After a brief tour of the facilities I was sold. This place is ripe for Personal Trainers, regardless of the discipline. Excellent cardio space with equipment, Gym is bountiful with free weights (down stairs) and machines/ cable upstairs for majority of fitness levels. The gym was the best surprise of this place. It is a hidden gem. The pool is the cleanest outdoor pool I have ever seen and included a 1.5' deep child pool. There is a staffed grill, which is another great surprise, that features reasonably cost food, drinks, and beer. The tennis courts are well maintained and instructors abound. The owners are kind and generous. There is also a nearby track around a stocked pond. I highly recommend spending the day.

Our 6-year-old son is a self-proclaimed "engineer." We signed him up for the 1/2 day summer camp at Stemtree off Cox Rd to test it out for him. He didn't want to leave! He said, "This is the best camp ever!" From a parent perspective, I love that he is learning and doing new things every day as opposed to just being babysat or repeating activities and becoming bored. Highly recommend! I know we will be using this location for more camps and after school as well.

Fantastic level of service, I was recommended this place by a parent at AAE, my kid has been going for a week and she loves it, no complains and seems to be happy since she says she wants to continue. Also the fact that parents can easily check the programs done by their kid each day, and that we can walk in anytime using the secure entry system etc, makes me feel secure about the facility.

Absolutely love the staff and instructors! My son always loves going here. He learns new things everyday and is being taken care of, so well. The administration is so flexible and listens to our needs/concerns with open ears. Great place!

An important warning about the diocese to anyone who may have experienced abuse of any sort: Do not file a Title IV complaint! When I did, I asked the diocese to mediate a dispute with the rector of my parish, Bob Malm of Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria; my concerns involved bullying by the rector, questionable HR, cash management, governance, and financial reporting practices, and possible gender-based workplace harassment. Not only did the diocese dismiss my complaint as not being “of weighty and material importance to the ministry of the church,” but it knowingly allowed Malm to engage in retaliation for filing a complaint. His campaign continues to this day, more than three years later, and included instructions to church clergy and staff to exclude us from the life of the parish. So, the church can gas on about #metoo all it wants, but the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia says in writing that workplace harassment is unimportant. Moreover, Bishop Shannon and the diocese knowingly violated Title IV, the Episcopal disciplinary canon, by improperly dismissing my complaint at the Reference Panel stage. That is not an option available to it, but when I pointed that out to the diocese, I was ignored. Most recently, the conflict with Bob Malm has flared back up again, but rather than holding folks accountable, +Shannon has sent out a letter of support for the clergy in question; his letter also falsely claims that these matters were “investigated and resolved long ago.” Having been dismissed by the intake officer, the matters were neither resolved nor investigated; they were brushed off. That is deplorable and despicable and shows a complete lack of understanding of the dynamics of abuse. And the most recent development is that Bob Malm contacted the police, falsely claiming that I threatened him. +Shannon is well aware of this, as well as allegations that Malm has perjured himself, but still does nothing. The upshot: If you experience sexual harassment or other abuse, DO NOT TELL THE DIOCESE. Tell the police, file a lawsuit, do whatever you need to do. Just know that you are putting yourself at risk if you tell the diocese. Update, July 27, 2018: Bob Malm, through his attorney Jeff Chiow, today tried to subpoena my mother, Sigrid Yahner, as part of his ongoing, multi-year vendetta against me. As Bob and Jeff both well know, Mom is terminally ill with COPD. +Shannon and +Susan are fully aware of this, and continue to allow and condone this disgraceful conduct. That tells you just how thoroughly broken ethics are within Mayo House and the diocese. Caveat emptor. September 2018: Most recently, Bob Malm, rector of Grace Episcopal Church in Alexandria, filed a pleading in the Alexandria Circuit Court in my case containing three facially obvious lies. I promptly informed Bishop Shannon and Bishop Goff, who appear to have taken no action. Moreover, during discovery, Malm lied under oath, falsely claiming my mother had contacted him repeatedly. She did not, nor did anyone do so on her behalf. Why have a bishop if he or she cannot ensure that canonically resident clergy act with integrity? Surely perjury is actionable. May 2019: Today the diocese sent me a notice dismissing my Title IV complaint against Bob Malm, saying in writing that perjury is only actionable if there is a criminal conviction. So, beware — all clergy misconduct is acceptable in the diocese as long as there’s no criminal conviction! Truly a scary proposition and proof that the diocese has utterly lost any ethical reference point.

Some greens had lost several feet around the edges to crabgrass which was an inch tall. This course is simply not worth what they’re charging to play it. You can do much better for the same price or less. Edit: I hope they have improved. But a green that is mostly crabgrass is not “making the green smaller.” It’s making the green unplayable. I will say that there was an employee actively working on a bunker while we were playing, and that bunker appeared almost ready for play. It has been a few weeks, so it is possible that the bunkers have been completely remedied by now. I hope you get the course in good condition because it did seem to be a good layout.

Enjoyable, quiet Tuesday afternoon. Staff is friendly. Beer in the clubhouse is cold. Had to play through a couple of running sprinklers - felt nice on a hot day.

Not as bad as some of the reviews say. Very fun course. Some greens were very spotty.Worth it for after 2pm price of 32$ with just a little better upkeep this would be an awesome course!

the stories I have heard from past employees people please make sure you are talking to your children if you notice changes in their eating sleeping or even mood swings pay attention these are warning signs even an employee that works there to this day they need to open an investigation

We love TLC. We have trusted our son there since he was 4 months old. The teachers are kind, loving, and enjoy what they do. I love that when I come to pick up my son, his teachers tell me all about his day, the front desk staff can tell me specific things that happened that day, and they are always available to talk about any questions you may have. I truly believe they love our kids. We looked at just about every child care center and the area and TLC has been a wonderful choice for our family!

Ben and Chris are both great guys to work with for whatever you need. I had some tail lights I purchased for my bike and I needed them shaved down in diameter on a lathe. Ben stayed late to accommodate my work schedule, and went the extra mile getting these shaved down, and even drilled the holes for wiring at an extremely fair price. On top of that, I had some melted plastic on my exhaust pipes that they helped clean off free of charge. Highly recommend these guys, give them a call for whatever you need. Will definitely be back.

Best all around for family fun and social events! Great people, multiple pools, 3 sand volleyball courts, snack bar or bring in your own food and drinks, large pavilions for parties, basketball, awesome tennis program and Monica the Pro is amazing, lighted courts, swim team, water aerobics, adult pool, slides, diving boards and team, loads of tennis! What else can you ask for!

I have been a member since I was 5 and now I’m raising my children here. It’s a great Club, a great community and we have wonderful summers here. The baby pool is heaven! My older boy loves playing tennis and swimming on the swim team! We love 3Chopt!
